Currently I can connect the dots among the eight insect bites on my right knee. HMMM! At this point I have gone to great links to prevent any bites from happening, at least around the knee. I have purchased copious amount of repellent, a pair of buzz off pants (luckily I got them on sale), and even now wrap an ace bandage around my knee. Besides that I have to put on prescription ointment 4 times a day. All in an effort to be ready for surgery. I think I'm the only person on the planet that works in the forest part of the time, yet is completely paranoid about going outside.
And if the flying ones weren't enough, I did the little fire ant dance today. You know the one where you instantly realize you are standing on a mound and the entire mound is on your feet. You wave your arms to swipe them off while raising your feet up and down shaking them while in the air. Frankly it's a little ape like dance that I did today. Just when you think you've gotten them all off, you feel the sting of another but can't seem to get to it and knock it off. Strange how the little buggers can cause so much pain and inflammation. Tomorrow it's game on, new buzz off pants and new repellent. I'll win this war!
